Last week I was in Cape Town for work. I know what you are thinking…”Yeah right…Cape Town for WORK??” Well, it’s true. I had a few media relationship meetings along with business partner meetings. Obviously I wasn’t complaining, I had a view of the beautiful Atlantic ocean along with some very charismatic seagulls. It was heaven for a Joburg city girl who sits in an open plan office.
But after work, there has to be some sort of play, right? Sunday I took a walk in the Bo-Kaap area with “the guy” before we both started sulking that he was dropping me off at the airport. Now, this is bitter sweet because as much as we were in the car, both hearts sinking, I did realise that he and I are going on a week’s holiday to Zanzibar in 2 weeks. Now for those of you that know me, you will know that it doesn’t take much for me to pack my bags and head off to OR Tambo International Airport. For as long as I can remember, I have had the wanderlust bug in me. But this time, I’m travelling with my best friend. My partner in crime (well I get up to most of the shenanigans). My other half.
This isn’t meant to be a soppy post. Just a post to say that I fell in love with Cape Town a long time ago. Little did I know that Cape Town would have fall back in love with me in a double-wammy kinda way. For that, I’m the richest person on Earth.
